AVUNE

What AVUNE is

AVUNE is a small set of short, private practices for the moments a thought won't let go — the night replay, the morning dread, the weight of someone else's opinion. Each practice takes about five minutes: write the thought down, sort it, and choose one small action you can actually take.

The model is simple — problem, practice, journey. Start from the problem you're living tonight, do one free practice, and if a thought needs more than an evening, a guided Journey spends a week walking it through.

Why it exists

Most of us were never taught what to do with a thought that won't leave. We distract it, feed it, or obey it — and it stays anyway. A thought usually loosens once it is written down, sorted, and paired with one honest action. AVUNE exists to make that sequence easy to reach at the exact moment you need it.

The tools on offer never quite fit: meditation apps sell a content library, AI journals want to read your words, and feeds reward streaks. AVUNE is the opposite of all three — a quiet page, a few honest questions, and a door that closes behind you.

Who's behind it

AVUNE is an independent, one-person project — designed, built, and written by Georg. I'm a developer, not a clinician: what you'll find here comes from careful reading of what actually makes rumination loosen (writing it down, separating fact from story, one controllable action), and from simply wanting that tool to exist.

The scope stays deliberately narrow: a few practices done well, an honest price, no growth hacks at your expense. When the evidence points somewhere better, the practices change.

What AVUNE is not

AVUNE is not therapy, not medical advice, and not a diagnosis of anything. These practices are self-reflection tools for an ordinary difficult evening. If looping thoughts, sleeplessness, or fear of judgment have been going for weeks — or if things have started to feel hopeless — please talk to a doctor or a qualified therapist. That is the right tool for what you're carrying, and reaching for it is a strength, not a failure.

Privacy, in plain terms

What you write in the daily practices never leaves your browser — no account, no server, no exception. Journeys ask for an account only so your progress and reflections can wait for you; those reflections are stored with row-level security and are readable only by you.

No AI reads anything you write — there is no AI here at all. Analytics count page visits and practice completions so I can tell what helps; they never carry a single word of what you wrote.

How AVUNE is funded

The four daily practices are free and will stay free. AVUNE+ unlocks the Journeys for $9 a month or $59 a year, and that is what keeps the site running. If the price is genuinely out of reach, the scholarship on the pricing page exists for exactly that — no one is turned away for money.

If AVUNE helped you through a difficult night, you can also leave a thought — what worked, what didn't, what you wish existed. It shapes what gets built next. And if a thought is circling right now, The Rumination Download is the fastest place to start.
